This course introduces participants to treasury management. It initially provides an overview of the external financial environment, the general regulatory environment and the nature of a building society and its treasury function. Following this overview there is an introduction to the revised treasury regulatory framework and its impact upon liquidity, wholesale funding and financial risk management.
The course is aimed at those with little or no treasury expertise and is therefore likely to be of interest to non executive directors and senior management as well as those who have recently started work in treasury or related areas. It includes interactive exercises and therefore timings will be flexible to meet particular interests of participants. No previous knowledge or experience is assumed.
