BSA Consultation responses

The BSA has responded to a number of consultations relevant to the mortgage market.

In January, the FSA published the first of a series of consultation papers following on from the Mortgage Market Review (DP09/03). The first CP (CP10/2), is split into two parts, and details proposals relating to arrears and repossessions and introducing an approved persons regime for mortgage advisors.

A Treasury consultation also looked at how investment can be increased in the private rented sector. The BSA’s response can be viewed via the link below -

The BSA has also responded to a Ministry of Justice consultation in relation to the power of sale over an owner occupied property:-
