The BSA has developed a data collection service to allow BSA members to submit their Product Sales Data (PSD) to the BSA.

The system is now complete and members are able to submit their PSD return to the BSA.

The system can be accessed here, or via the members section of the BSA website, by selecting 'Mortgage Statistics System'.

Overview of the system

Data can be submitted monthly or quarterly via a web upload or SFTP in XML or CSV format . The system also has functionality to allow manual keying of data.

The system has been developed to ensure that the functionality mirrors the FSA reporting system as closely as possible, therefore the file format you currently provide to the FSA will be accepted by the BSA system.

The data will be held securely and at no time will other users be able to identify or access any member's data apart from their own.

Accessing the system

In order to access the system you will need to request log in details from the BSA. Please email admin@bsa.org.uk with your name and contact details.

User Manual and Security Overview

The BSA has produced a user manual for the system, which can be accessed via the link below. We strongly suggest that all users read the manual in full prior to using the system.

Details of system security are contained in the Security Overview, which can be accessed via the link below.

You will need to be logged into the BSA website to view these links.

Historical Data

In addition we would be grateful if  members would provide historical PSD returns to provide us with as much data as possible. If your society has kept copies of previous submissions to the FSA, then it would be helpful to receive these.

The purpose of the historical data is to build as complete a picture as possible and to provide members with a richness of aggregated data from which to work with.
We are flexible with how and when it is provided. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact Vicky Barnard (Victoria.barnard@bsa.org.uk) 0207 520 5922.

Aggregated Reports

Once we achieve a critical mass of data, a set of reports will be published, accessed via the system, based on the aggregated data.

Further details will be provided to members in the next few weeks.
