The BSA has today published its response to the House of Lords call for evidence on UK Regulators. While we support the current overall regulatory structure we call for greater proportionality and a more coherent framework now that the regulators are no longer bound by EU regulations. We call for the modernising updates to the Building Societies Act be progressed, and for policy developments to better consider the impact on mutuals.
