Dormant Bank and Building Society Accounts Bill
The Dormant Bank and Building Society Accounts Bill has completed its passage in the Lords and received its first reading in the Commons on 27 February. An amendment was accepted in the Lords to allow all societies to be included in the alternative scheme whereby societies can channel funds direct to charities of their choice, rather than via the Big Lottery Fund. The Bill will now be open to scrutiny and amendments in the Commons. The Bill as it stands and associated papers can be viewed here Back to contents |
