Treasury Sub Committee Evidence Session - Child Trust Funds

The Treasury Sub-Committee will be holding an evidence session on Child Trust Funds on 14 May.  Witnesses are Kitty Ussher MP (Lab, Burnley), Economic Secretary to the Treasury, with HM Treasury and HM Revenue and Customs Officials.  

The hearing will cover topics including:

  • Awareness of the Child Trust Fund
  • Possible reasons for lack of awareness
  • Promoting increased awareness of Child Trust Fund vouchers
  • Issues involving providers of Child Trust Funds
  • Choice of Child Trust Fund accounts
  • Additional contributions by parents to Child Trust Funds
  • Future of the Child Trust Fund scheme
