NEW GUIDELINES TO IMPROVE CASH ISA TRANSFER PROCESS

RECORD HALF YEAR SAVINGS FOR SOCIETIES
Building societies’ excellent performance in the savings market for the first half of 2008 saw them achieving record savings inflows of £6,296 million compared to just £3,862 million in the first six months of 2007.

SAVINGS REMAIN HIGH
Building societies’ excellent performance in the savings market continued in May, with societies attracting savings inflows of £853 million, the highest May figure since 2002.

THE FLIGHT TO QUALITY
Savings inflows to building societies last month were a new March record at £1.26 billion. This compares with inflows of £0.7billion in March 2007, and represents a 70% increase.
