The Sponsors of the Lending Code (Building Societies Association, British Bankers Association and UK Cards Association) have responded to the proposals set out in Chapter 7 of the FSA's July 2010 quarterly consultation paper. Chapter 7 covers proposed amendments to the Banking Conduct of Business Sourcebook which seek to regulate the use of the right of set off. The response is available below -
