Barnsley Building Society was awarded the ‘Charitable Business of the Year 2004’ award by the South Yorkshire Community Foundation for its commitment to the development of the community The award is currently on display at Permanent Building, Regent Street, Barnsley and takes the form of a beautiful silver salver from the Sheffield Assay Office.
