Community Mark

Barnsley Building Society has achieved CommunityMark, a national standard for small and medium sized businesses recognising their involvement within the local community.

The Barnsley was awarded CommunityMark by Business in the Community in October 2003. It subsequently went on to collect ‘Best Company Submission in the Yorkshire and Humberside region in 2004.

It provides a simple model to maximise community impact and business benefit at the same time. It encourages all businesses to get involved, whether they have a community programme or not.
