e-save is an account available only to individuals aged 16 or over who wish to save money using an online service.

There is no restriction to the number of withdrawals that can be made under this account type, but we do request that account holders make only one withdrawal per day.

Accounts must be held in individual's names only and therefore trustee and business accounts will not be permitted.

Opening your account

After you have read all the account information, simply click the 'Apply Now' button which will take you through the step-by-step application process.

This service is secure and, as your opening balance payment will dictate where withdrawals are paid to in the future, you are advised to consider your future requirements with respect the account types you might hold.

To complete all the steps, you will need to have your nominated bank account details to hand, which must have a UK sort code and be held in your name only. Sadly we cannot accept a Barnsley account as a nominated account.

To formally open the account with a balance, you will be required to send a cheque from the same account that has been nominated to receive future withdrawals to our Customer Services Department. Future payments to your account can be made from other account types or by the Bankers Automated Clearing Service (BACS).

Deposits and withdrawals

You can deposit into your e-save account at any time you choose. This deposit can be made either by sending us a cheque or by BACS to suit your requirements.

Withdrawals are available without notice and will be paid directly to your nominated account by BACS. CHAPS clearances are also available but you should be aware that this type of transaction will incur a fee.

The minimum withdrawal amount per day is £250, with the maximum permitted being £50,000.

Interest Payments

Interest is paid annually on 31st December and this can either be paid directly to your e-save account or to your nominated bank account.
