Company Tracker 30

The Company Tracker 30 is a deposit account aimed at companies and incorporated charities. This high interest savings account follows movements in the Bank of England base rate and is designed to earn you more on your surplus cash.

OPERATING THE ACCOUNT

Initial investments must be made by cheque, drawn from the organization’s bank account, bearing the same name as the account.

You can make further investments to your initial deposit at any time via cheque, BACS or CHAPS.

You can access your investment either by giving us 30 days notice in writing, when you will incur no penalty loss of interest; or an immediate withdrawal can be made subject to 30 days loss of interest on the amount withdrawn.

Withdrawals may be made by cheque payable to the company, BACS or CHAPS to the organization’s designated bank account (a fee is payable for CHAPS withdrawals).


INTEREST RATES

Interest rates on the Company Tracker 30 are tiered, so the more you invest, the more interest you can earn.

The interest rate is guaranteed to track the Bank of England base rate until 30th September 2009, when the Society will review the guarantee. Any adjustments will be applied within 30 days of publication of the base rate by the Bank of England, normally on the 1st of the following month.

Interest can be paid annually at 31st December or at the end of each month either into the account or to another bank account. Different interest rates apply for each method.

Interest on the account will be paid gross, provided the HMRC form 38(INP) has been completed and returned to us.The Society is required each year to supply to the HMRC particulars of all interest paid or credited to investors.

IDENTIFICATION

We require both company and personal identification. See the application form for details of acceptable company identification. Our Important Information page details the personal identification which is required for ALL account signatories.

PLEASE NOTE THAT, FOR LEGAL REASONS, WE ARE UNABLE TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT UNLESS VALID IDENTIFICATION IS PROVIDED

As this is a deposit account, neither you nor your company/charity will become members, but you will be bound by the Society’s Rules, a copy of which will be sent to you upon opening an account. Please also read the leaflet "Essential Information for Investors", which contains our Terms and Conditions and other important details, or you can also look at the General Terms and Conditions page on this website.


The Society reserves the right to suspend or amend an issue of shares at any time and potential investors should check that the required issue is still available.

HOW TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT:

Print off the application form and list of Directors. Send them together with a cheque drawn from your company’s bank account and the relevant company and personal identification to:

Specific Terms and Conditions

The Society’s General Investment Terms and Conditions will apply unless they are inconsistent with these Specific conditions.

Spacer1. The minimum opening balance is £500. If the operating balance falls below £500, annual interest will be paid at a fixed rate of 0.50% gross.
Spacer2. The Company Tracker 30 account guarantees that the interest rate will move in line with any future movements in the Bank of England base rate. If the Bank of England base rate goes up the annual interest rate will be increased by the full amount of any rise in the base rate. If the base rate falls, a corresponding downward adjustment will be made. This guarantee will apply until 30th September 2009 and is reviewed by the Society on an annual basis.
Spacer3. The Company Tracker 30 account is only available to UK resident companies and incorporated charities.
Spacer 4. Additional investments can be made at any time up to a maximum balance of £250,000 whilst the issue remains open.
