How much can I save?

The minimum balance required to open a Premier Business Account is £5,000. This minimum investment level must be maintained for the account to remain open.

The maximum investment level is £1,000,000.

This account can be opened by a sole trader, partnership, limited company, public limited company, charity, club trust or housing association.

How is interest paid?
This account offers a variable rate of interest. Interest is calculated on a daily basis and credited to your account annually on or about 31st December.

In most instances interest will be paid net of tax. To find out whether your organisation is eligible to receive gross interest please speak with your local tax office. If your organisation is eligible to receive gross interest you will need to complete the relevant declaration which is available from your branch.

If you are a sole trader or partnership and your income is below your personal tax allowance, you can have your interest paid gross by completing HM Revenue and Customs form R85, which is available from your branch.
