The Government published on 7 February 2017 its Housing White Paper, Fixing the Broken Housing Market. The paper assessed the continued lack of supply in the housing market and what measures could be made to address the problem. The BSA welcomed the Government's shift away from solely focussing on home ownership but argued that it was vital it remained open to taking further action to unblock all barriers or disincentives that remain to boosting supply.
