Permanent: Full-time

Salary: £50,000 per annum mid-market reference (80-120% range based on skills & experience) plus full employee benefits

 

We’ve created a new exciting opportunity for a Head of Marketing, Brand and Culture to join our progressive Society, reporting directly to the Chief Executive.

 

About the role 

You will be responsible for developing the Society’s Vision to be “Employer of Choice” in supporting employees to think, act and respond according to the Society’s values; Personal; Authentic; Empowering.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide Marketing direction and support, actively participating in the Society’s strategy, communications, brand management, as well as event planning and product development.

You will also be responsible for internal and external communications liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders in implementing the marketing plan and identifying opportunities to support employee development and well-being.

About the key role responsibilities

• Lead Direct Reports to deliver objectives and their personal development.

• Lead the society’s CSR and community initiatives.

• Create deeper awareness and greater understanding of diversity and inclusion at the core of how the Society “lives and breathes” internally and externally.

• Enhance the website Member and Broker experience.

• Set up and launch compliant new mortgage/savings products including communication to third-party sourcing systems, customers and relevant external contacts.

• Plan and coordinate with Branch teams to deliver branch marketing and community objectives.

• Lead and deliver the AGM process from conception to completion. 

• Develop the Society’s Savings and Mortgage marketing customer experience in line with strategic brand objectives.

This role is perfect for anyone wishing to develop their strategic awareness with the potential to move up to a Leadership Team position within the next 3 years.

About the applicant 

The successful applicant may already have experience in a similar role and is seeking new horizons, OR someone who is yet to operate at this level but has a track record and attitude which suggests they have the ability to succeed, with appropriate support and guidance. 

Critically, we are looking for a high energy individual with their head in the clouds and their feet on the ground, who has ability to inspire and make a difference to everyone they touch. Someone who is prepared to roll their sleeves up and “get stuck in” when it’s required but with a strategic mindset and commercial acumen.

Experience in an existing marketing role is essential and it’s likely you will be educated to degree level and/or have a recognised marketing qualification. Experience of using creative software is also preferred and you should be a competent user of Microsoft Office suite and social media.

Package

£50,000 per annum (mid-market reference - depending upon skills and experience)

Pension scheme (after 3-month postponement period) 7.5% employer contributions rising to 10% after 2 years

Salary exchange for pensions arrangement 

4 x salary death in service benefit 

25 days holiday (plus statutory bank holidays), increasing to 27 days after 2 years’ service
