Risk, regulatory, audit & accounting update

6 & 7 October 2021

This popular event, in conjunction with KPMG, provides a convenient annual update across a range of risk, regulatory, audit and accounting matters. Previously held in Leicester each year, the 2021 event will continue in an online format over two half-day sessions.

Given the scale of current changes BSA members are facing, we’ve the difficult task – alongside our KPMG colleagues – of selecting just which topics to give in-depth coverage to this year. What will happen next in prudential regulation? Will we know any more about the next stage of “Strong & Simple”? Where will things stand following the major BEIS consultation “Restoring Trust in Audit and Corporate Governance”?  And what about the wider economy, as we start to see some pick up of inflation, a steamy housing market, and a stalled road map out of lockdown? 

This year's programme is currently being considered and will be available in due course, although registration is now open for those wishing to book their place.

The event is primarily designed for building society delegates (finance. risk and regulatory staff and non-executives) but some content will also be relevant to credit unions.
