Risk, regulatory, audit and accounting seminar

3 October 2019, Leicester

This popular full-day seminar, in conjunction with KPMG, provides a convenient annual update across a range of risk, regulatory, audit and accounting matters – to optimize member benefit, the scope has widened from audit / accounting only.

Starting with scene-setting and a horizon-scan, the seminar will include:

  • sessions with both prudential and conduct regulators,
  • a stock-take on corporate governance following the Combined Code revision;
  • a technical briefing on latest audit and accounting matters;
  • a presentation on “RegTech” for non-specialists; and
  • up to the minute coverage of Brexit impacts and preparation.

Alongside the formal sessions, there will be the usual space for networking among the expected audience of around 100 from across the BSA membership – all in the relaxed, spacious surroundings of the Leicester Marriott near J21 of the M1.

Who should attend?
This seminar is primarily designed for building society delegates (finance, risk and regulatory staff and non-executives) but some content will also be relevant to credit unions.  The provisional programme is set out below, subject to further refinement by the presenters (who are all now confirmed). Reserve your place now!

This is always one of the key seminars of the year – useful both to get a feel for technical and regulatory issues, and also to meet up with old acquaintances/colleagues.
