Cyber simulation exercise

8 December 2017, London

Following on from our successful pilot held on 20 July a further cyber simulation exercise has been organised for BSA members.

Cyber-simulation exercises are recommended as a means of testing your plans to manage the aftermath of a successful cyber-attack. The BSA have been working, in conjunction with EY, to set up the opportunity for members to take part in a building society-specific exercise which will test their incident management capability.

The package will include:

  • A half day simulation exercise based on a realistic cyber-crisis scenario developed by EY and the BSA which will include technical, operational and reputational challenges.
  • Each participant will be able to bring a team of 4 – 5 appropriate individuals from their crisis management team.
  • Feedback for each participating team from EY consultants observing the exercise.
  • A follow up report by EY on the exercise focusing on the key learning points for participants to take away.
