PSD II and Open Banking

22 November 2017, Leeds

The evolution taking place in the payments landscape is unprecedented; driven by technological developments, innovation, new market entrants and of course regulatory intervention.  And yet the pace of change is unrelenting.

The clock is ticking down at a rapid pace, with the FCA and the Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) having recently issued their final rules and guidance for the implementation of PSDII. This gives firms just a matter of months to ensure their compliance, with the first and most significant deadline – the implementation of PSD II and Open Banking – getting ever closer on 13th January next year.

An increasing number of new players are poised to enter the market, with new and highly innovative services that could seriously disrupt the current status quo in financial services. The key question to ask yourselves is – ‘Are you ready not just to comply, but to compete and innovate?’

This interactive workshop, in conjunction with KPMG LLP, will focus on some of the key changes evolving from PSD II and their potential impact. It will also consider the impact, threats and opportunities represented by Open Banking, and the related challenges that GDPR will create.
