The BSA has been commissioning the quarterly Property Tracker survey for ten years this month. Property Tracker analyses consumer sentiment towards the housing market.
The latest figures reveal that:
- 7/10 say the difficulties young people have getting onto the housing ladder is one of the biggest problems the UK faces
- Almost half (48%) of people aged 25-34 who aren’t on the property ladder say they want to own their own home within the next 10 years.
- ...However, 41% of these people think that the achievement of their dream is unlikely.
But how does this all compare to a decade ago, when we established the Property Tracker?
