Last night proved to be an evening of celebration for the sector, as building societies took home three key awards at the British Bank Awards 2019.
At a ceremony held at Cafe de Paris in central London, Dudley, Darlington and Vernon Building Societies received awards for Customer Service Champion, Best Specialist Mortgage Provider and Best Savings Provider respectively.
The British Bank Awards are particularly prominent across the financial services sector as they are voted for by customers themselves.
BSA Associate, DPR, also took home the award for Technology Vendor of the Year, working with a number of building societies.

Today Smart Money People also released a Banking League Table, calculated by rounding up customer satisfaction scores from the last year. Nationwide Building Society can be found at a respectable fourth place out of fourteen firms.
