The Family Building Society, launched in July 2014, is a trading name of National Counties Building Societ.  National Counties Building Society is the UK’s twelfth largest building society, with over 50,000 members and £1.8bn of assets. Operating from its head office in Epsom, Surrey, the Society employs approximately 160 people and offers a range of competitive savings and mortgage products throughout the UK.

The Society’s mortgage products are underwritten by a dedicated team of underwriters who look at each case on an individual basis. The Society has many years' experience of providing mortgages to those aged 65 and over.

On 14 July 2014, National Counties launched the Family Building Society; a new proposition that enables families to help each other financially across the generations. For example, parents and/or grandparents can use their resources and/or their own equity to help young people get on the housing ladder but without having to gift the money away.
