About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Policy Manager – Credit Unions to effectively represent the views of BSA-NCUF members to external organisations and third parties, helping to establish and maintain a favourable operating environment for credit union members. This is an excellent opportunity for a policy professional who is keen to take ownership of an important and evolving area of work, supporting credit union members and influencing policy developments across regulation, legislation and sector collaboration.

• Represent the interests of credit union members with a wide range of stakeholders, including Government, the PRA, FCA, professional bodies and other trade associations.
• Review new policy developments and present members’ interests by drafting and coordinating responses to PRA and FCA consultation papers in relation to credit unions.
• Lead work to support changes to the Credit Unions Act and develop guidance for members through website briefs, impact analysis, newsletters and circulars.
• Act as a focal point for credit union work, including coordinating NCUF meetings, preparing agenda papers, coordinating minutes and following up actions using AI tools where appropriate.
• Keep abreast of developments across relevant policy areas and the wider member market, identifying future areas of work and opportunities for collaboration.
• Around 5 years’ post-qualification work
