A free event in London hosted by BSA Associate, Backbase

Backbase ENGAGE Europe 2025 takes place from 14–16 October in London, bringing together around 170 senior leaders from banks, mutuals, and building societies to explore how AI is transforming the future of banking.

The event showcases Backbase’s new AI-powered banking narrative, focusing on how financial institutions can drive growth, improve efficiency, and better serve customers through intelligent, platform-led transformation. While Backbase sets the vision, the stage belongs to industry leaders who share real-world stories, insights, and lessons from the front lines of change.

A key session for building societies features Simon Broadley (CEO, Furness Building Society) and Susanne Parry (COO, Cumberland Building Society), exploring how mutuals can modernize member services and stay relevant in a fast-evolving market.

With 25 expert speakers, curated networking, and a practical agenda designed for action, ENGAGE is ideal for CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and leaders in Strategy, Digital, Technology, and Operations.

Backbase

For over 20 years, we’ve helped financial institutions modernize their technology and elevate their customer experience and the opportunity for building societies is greater than ever. As AI rewrites the rules of financial services, many mutuals find themselves constrained by legacy systems that limit their ability to compete, innovate, and serve members in modern ways. The new Backbase changes that: the world’s first AI-powered banking platform designed to unlock both growth and operational efficiency, turning longstanding limitations into launchpads for member-centric innovation.

We give building societies what they’ve been waiting for: the freedom to grow, the tools to lead, and the ability to turn every member interaction into a meaningful moment.
