The home buying and selling process is undergoing significant attention as government, industry and regulators look at ways to make the system faster, more transparent, and more resilient.

With the government’s live Home Buying & Selling Consultation currently open, this BSA event will help members understand what’s happening, what may be coming, and how lenders can actively contribute.

We are delighted to welcome Victoria Latham, Director of Homeownership at MHCLG, who will open the session and outline government priorities, the support they need from lenders, and the roadmap for reform.

Members will also hear from a strong line-up of industry experts, including:
  • Beth Rudolf (Conveyancing Association & DPSMG Lead) – progress on conveyancing reform
  • Sam Rees (RICS) – market and valuation insights
  • Maria Harris (Open Property Data Association) – the role of open property data, digital ID and interoperability
  • Claire Van Der Zant (Novus Strategy) – innovation and data solutions shaping the future
  • Mike Harlow (Director of Customer and Strategy, HM Land Registry) updates on digital transformation and what it means for lenders

This event will help members:
  • Understand the key issues shaping home buying & selling reform
  • Identify what lenders need to know and prepare for
  • Explore opportunities to support and improve the system
  • Gather the insights needed to respond effectively to the consultation

This event is free for BSA members.
