A free webinar hosted by BSA Associate, EY

A high level introduction to Risk Mitigation Accounting, suitable for audit committee members, NEDs and Finance leaders.

This interactive session will bring together members of the Building Societies Association (BSA) to explore Risk Mitigation Accounting, its applicability to building societies, field testing and how you can get involved.

The RMA model has the potential to revolutionize how financial institutions account for the management of interest rate risk and aims to better reflect its impact on the financial statements, but it comes with some complexities that require detailed assessment and planning. This webinar will address these complexities and support building societies with assessing the impact of their businesses.

The webinar will provide practical insights into what RMA is, how the model will work in practice, the benefits and challenges it presents for building societies, engaging with the Exposure Draft via field testing and its importance, amongst others.

As well as giving an overview of the exposure draft, we'll cover it's applicability to building societies, practical implications, market feedback from field testing so far, timelines for completion of the project, and how you can do your own field test / impact assessment.
