Katalysys is hosting a Boardroom Briefing for Board members, CFOs, CROs, and senior finance and risk professionals at the Guildhall on 15th of September 2026.
The event will start with a keynote speech on proportionality in the approach to supervision to be delivered by Heena Samani, Head of Global Systemically Important Banks Division in the PRA, and a panel discussion
with Q&A.
Subsequently, our experts will cover two key topics:
- Preparedness for Basel 3.1 and SDDT. We explore how to answer the three questions every board should be asking now. First, can we trust the numbers; second, can we explain the numbers; third, are we proportionate i.e., avoiding both under-compliance and the kind of unnecessary conservatism that quietly constrains capital efficiency and growth.
- Does the summer of 2026 change how we look at climate risk. We explore extreme weather events of 2026, from heat and drought to increasingly sporadic wildfires, and examine how non-flood physical risk drivers are reshaping the industry’s approach to climate risk materiality assessments. We also explore a specific opportunity for mortgage lenders to harness climate risk opportunities and turn them into commercial value.
