We are delighted to invite you to TLT’s second Assembly for in-house lawyers and risk and compliance professionals in the building society sector.

Our Assembly will be chaired by the BSA’s Head of Mortgage and Housing Policy, Paul Broadhead, and will cover a wide range of topics which will be of interest to those in the sector.

This event will bring together industry experts to explore key legal and regulatory developments and challenges shaping the sector.

What to expect:
  • In-depth discussions on emerging trends
  • Practical insights for legal, risk, and compliance teams
  • Networking opportunities with peers and sector specialists
 Topics to be discussed include:
  • The retail mortgages landscape | the MHCLG’s intended reforms to the home buying and selling process and the FCA Mortgage Rule Review
  • Forward flow funding | the opportunities for the building society sector, challenges arising and alternatives (TLT will be joined by Interpath for a fireside chat for this session and will consider issues arising from the MFS case)
  • Employment law changes | a need-to-know guide for Building Societies
  • Cyber threats and risks | crisis management for Building Societies
  • The FOS and the FCA’s work on Modernising Redress | A perspective for Building Societies
  • Reform to the Building Societies Act – what could that mean?

We look forward to welcoming you for a day of knowledge sharing and collaboration.  Join us at TLT’s Manchester office for an insightful event.
