The BSA is delighted to partner with Becoming International again this year to offer this programme for women leaders across the BSA membership.

The Women's Leadership Programme - “The Becoming Journey®” is for women who are highly capable, senior leaders, with the potential to go further and achieve more. It is for women who do not need to be ‘taught’ more leadership skills, but would benefit from working alongside other women to reflect on themselves, their leadership style, and their impact.

The focus of the Journey is on challenging women to question the expectations and limitations that shape their leadership. The Journey equips them with the psychological flexibility to unhook from these and gives them tools and techniques to help them make their own choices about who they want to be as a leader, and the impact they want to have on their team and wider organisation.

Delivered as a high-quality, flexible, virtual learning journey, the programme combines rich and interactive media with experiential virtual workshops. Participants will build connections with other women from across the BSA membership, supporting and challenging each other to apply their learning whether that is in their leadership role or wider life.

Who should attend?
"The Becoming Journey®" is for women who are in mid-to senior level roles, and who have the potential to progress in their career or to take on more responsibilities in their current role. It is particularly targeted at women who:

  • Have significant management or leadership roles and want help to effectively navigate the challenges faced by women at this level in the workplace
  • Are moving to new roles or transitioning upwards and want help to take control of their own career path
  • Want to develop and accept their own leadership style, rather than conform to an organisation or societal norm that feels inauthentic.
  • Feel stuck on their leadership journey and want to unstick and progress further.

We are committed to supporting BSA members to achieve the goals of the Women in Finance Charter, as well as addressing issues around gender pay gaps. We hope to be able to offer this programme to members annually, subject to demand.

Course structure and dates:
This virtual learning journey takes place weekly over a period of approximately 3 months.

It is a blended learning programme, supported by high quality online learning materials that are accessible at any time across any device (PC, tablet, mobile).  In addition to attending the virtual interactions listed below, each participant will be given a personalised logon to an online learning platform and asked to complete the learning activities (videos, podcasts, reflective exercises) before each module.  This requires 30-60mins of preparation before each module.

(If you are unable to attend all of the dates listed below the course trainers will contact you directly to discuss).
