The BSA Marketing Symposium is a series of two-hour quarterly in-person events held at the BSA’s offices in London. Bringing key marketing topics to life for attendees we will introduce a range of experts, successful user cases and practical exercises, where marketers can meet like-minded professionals to share their experience and knowledge.

Building Societies have been around for hundreds of years, they have well established brands and have been on our high streets for decades, but many consumers don't know what they offer or consider using them, what's the problem?

For the modern Building Society with little or no brand marketing budget there's a challenge.  How do you cut through, create an impact in your local market and make the most of your brand.

Our speakers for this session are:

  • Mary Say is a respected brand builder and agency leader.  Experienced across a range of sectors including Financial Services, Consumer Goods, Retail and Hospitality.  Having co-founded and sold a previous successful brand agency, Mary is now launching a new agency - Venturebrand - to help brands create bold impact and lasting value.  She will share her knowledge and experience of helping brands to build, innovate and attract investment.  Mary is an event speaker, member of Marketing Society, member of Superbrands UK, and sits on various brand in-house advisory boards.

  • Duncan Walters is a marketing and communications leader with nearly 20 years of experience delivering award-winning, integrated campaigns for global clients in complex, regulated markets across financial services, fintech, technology, and beyond.  Duncan is the founder of Pentire Communications, an AI-powered marketing consultancy that blends data, technology, and creativity. Pentire helps brands connect with hard-to-reach B2B and B2C audiences through data-driven, impactful experiences and platform-agnostic strategies.
